The foundation for our Frameable printing and framing website is our family of brick and mortar custom framing stores. Under the umbrella of Northwest Framing, our family of frame shops have represented premier picture framing in the Pacific Northwest for over 40 years. We have 23 stores in Washington and Oregon under the brands Museum Quality Framing, Beard’s Framing and Frame Central.

The first "Beard Frame Shop," as it was known then, was founded by Terry Beard in 1974 in Portland, OR and has since expanded to 9 locations in greater Portland and Southern Washington.

"Beard’s Framing Outlet" first opened in Portland in 1987. This popular destination for affordable picture frames became Frame Central, which now comprises 7 stores in Washington and Oregon.

Museum Quality Framing was founded by Adrian Hanauer in 1988. There are 7 locations serving the greater Seattle area.

In 1999, Museum Quality Framing purchased Beard’s Framing and Frame Central, making us the largest custom framing company in the Pacific Northwest. We are still locally-owned and operated and we hand craft all our custom frames at our facilities in Portland. We have since added a full-service art printing business, an internet fulfillment business as well as a Commercial division serving Interior Designers, Architects, Contractors and businesses throughout the country and abroad.

Like in other parts of our company, our mission with Frameable is to bring your art to life, and your life to art. But with Frameable, this can all be accomplished from the comfort of your home.
